BLUE DIAMOND GOLF LINKS

OVERVIEW
BLUE DIAMOND GOLF LINKS

Blue Diamond Golf Links is a golf course located on the Bao Ninh Peninsula, Dong Hoi Ward, Quang Tri Province. The course is constructed in a signature Links Course style.

Designed in the Links Course tradition, it features naturally undulating sand dunes and open spaces with direct ocean views. Players will directly face strong sea breezes on firm sandy soil that allows the ball to roll fast. The combination of deep bunkers and rugged terrain provides a fresh and challenging golfing experience for all skill levels.

MASTER PLAN
BLUE DIAMOND GOLF LINKS

The design fully leverages natural sea breezes, making ball flights more unpredictable. This presents an exciting challenge that requires golfers to carefully calculate their strategy for every shot.
Mặt Bằng Tổng Thể

HOLE 1

Par 5 | Index 11
530
510
465
420

Overview: This is a medium-length Par 5 featuring natural valley terrain, sloping downhill from the tee box and rising back up on the second shot. The primary challenges come from flanking bunkers along the fairway and a water hazard tucked deep on the right side. The green is highly demanding, featuring a central ridge that splits the slopes, and is well-protected by two greenside bunkers.

Playing Strategy: The safest approach is to aim for the center of the fairway to avoid the bunkers on either side. Long-hitters and skilled golfers may opt to carry the left bunker for a clearer line of sight, potentially attacking the pin to reach the green in just two strokes.

HOLE 2

Par 4 | Index 15
390
380
350
325

Overview: This Par 4 hole embodies a classic Links character with a fairway that gently undulates toward the left. The terrain is guarded by three strategic bunkers: a double-trap complex on the left and a large bunker anchoring the right corridor. The green features complex surface slopes and is heavily protected by fine white sand bunkers at the front and both flanks.

Playing Strategy: Aim your tee shot toward the right-center of the fairway to neutralize the left bunker complex and open up the best approach angle. The second shot into the green demands absolute distance precision; prioritize hitting the center of the green to avoid the tightly-hugging bunkers and to better manage the intricate slopes of the putting surface.

HOLE 3

Par 4 | Index 1
455
425
380
340

Overview: This is the most demanding hole on the course (Handicap Index 1). It requires both power and precision as the fairway narrows and dogs-leg toward the green. The expansive Lake C runs along the entire right corridor and wraps around the back of the green, creating immense psychological pressure for every golfer.

Playing Strategy: Safety first is the key here. Your tee shot should aim for the left corridor of the fairway to take advantage of the available space. If your drive lacks sufficient distance, do not hesitate to play a short lay-up before the green rather than risking a shot over the water to attack the pin, ensuring you protect your score on this most challenging hole.

HOLE 4

Par 3 | Index 7
245
210
175
140

Overview: A stunning yet treacherous Par 3. Golfers must execute a complete carry over an expansive lake that dominates the space in front of the green. Bunkers are strategically placed along the left fringe, acting as a trap for those attempting to steer clear of the water.

Playing Strategy: Club selection is vital, especially when facing a headwind from the sea. Select "more club" (extra power) to ensure the ball clears the water hazard. The safest target is the right side of the green. A common mistake is under-clubbing, which results in the ball falling into the lake or becoming plugged in the steep-faced bunkers at the front.

HOLE 5

Par 4 | Index 17
380
345
315
245

Overview: A short Par 4 that offers a prime Birdie opportunity for strategic golfers. The fairway is open but flanked by a massive bunker on the left and rugged sand dune terrain on the right. The green area is treacherous, guarded by small but deep bunkers that demand master-class recovery skills if you find yourself trapped.

Playing Strategy: Unleash a powerful driver aimed at the right corridor of the fairway to open up the best approach angle. For the second shot, precise backspin control is essential to stop the ball quickly on the undulating green surface, preventing it from over-rolling into the protective bunkers at the rear.

HOLE 6

Par 5 | Index 3
640
600
560
460

Overview: The giant of the course, boasting a record-breaking length of 640 yards. The fairway meanders continuously through natural sand dunes, creating several blind or restricted lines of sight. Strategic bunkers are scattered across the primary landing zones for both the first and second shots, culminating in a massive bunker complex right at the edge of the green.

Playing Strategy: Approach this hole in three distinct stages. Consistency is the priority for your first and second shots to keep the ball on the fairway and away from the bunkers flanking the landing areas. Since the green is expansive and heavily undulating, your approach shot must get as close to the pin as possible to avoid the disaster of a 3-putt.

HOLE 7

Par 4 | Index 13
360
345
300
290

Overview: This par 4 features an s-shaped undulating fairway, highlighted by a dense chain of bunkers running along the entire left side from the tee box. The tilted green is heavily guarded by thick rough and strategic bunkers at the front, demanding high precision when attacking the pin.

Playing strategy: The tee shot should be aimed toward the right side of the fairway to steer clear of the hazardous bunker chain. On the approach shot, golfers must carefully calculate the slope and the protective bunkers at the front; aiming for the center of the green is the safest option to navigate through this sand matrix.

HOLE 8

Par 3 | Index 9
220
200
145
120

Overview: This par 3 features an expansive green, strictly protected by a dense bunker system and natural sand dunes running along the right side. Strategic bunkers scattered from the tee box's line of sight create significant psychological pressure for golfers.

Playing strategy: With varying distances and unpredictable sea breezes, accurate club selection is the decisive factor. The optimal strategy is to aim for the center or left side of the green to stay clear of the bunker hazard on the right. A high-trajectory shot with a soft landing will help the ball stop quickly and safely on the green surface.

HOLE 9

Par 4 | Index 5
460
425
380
320

Overview: A dramatic finishing hole for the front nine. A long lake runs along the entire left corridor from the tee box all the way to the green. The fairway is narrow with a natural slope tilting toward the lake, ready to penalize any shots lacking sufficient control.

Playing strategy: The tee shot must be aimed toward the right corridor of the fairway. Even on the approach shot to the green, priority should be given to the right side of the pin; any miss toward the left carries the risk of losing the ball in the lake or falling into the steep, hazardous terrain.

HOLE 10

Par 4 | Index 4
425
400
365
320

Overview: A breathtaking start to the back nine with intense pressure from two lakes flanking both sides of the fairway, creating a "bottleneck" that demands absolute precision. The green is medium-sized but guarded by a large bunker at the rear, ready to catch any over-hit shots.

Playing strategy: This is where true skill speaks for itself. Use the club you are most confident with to ensure the ball stays on the narrow fairway between the two water hazards. The approach shot to the green requires excellent distance control to avoid the bunker at the back or sliding off the compact green surface.

HOLE 11

Par 4 | Index 16
350
335
310
275

Overview: A short and pleasant par 4 with a straight line of play. The main challenges come from a large bunker strip running along the entire right corridor and greenside bunkers guarding the right flank.

Playing strategy: Prioritize a tee shot toward the left side of the fairway to steer clear of the bunkers. With the short distance, golfers should focus on precision rather than power; a gentle approach with a short iron is sufficient to open up a birdie opportunity.

HOLE 12

Par 5 | Index 12
545
530
465
410

Overview: A par 5 that gently undulates to the right through natural sand dunes. The landing area for the second shot is extremely narrow, squeezed between strategic bunkers. The elevated green is challenging, with protective bunkers guarding both flanks.

Playing strategy: Play this hole with a safe three-shot strategy. Keep the ball on the left corridor of the fairway to have a favorable angle for the second shot. The third shot to the elevated green requires careful attention to the ball's trajectory to prevent it from sliding off the sloping green surface.

HOLE 13

Par 3 | Index 14
205
175
160
130

Overview: A straight par 3 design with medium difficulty. The highlight is a large bunker guarding the front-right of the green, ready to penalize any under-hit or off-target shots.

Playing strategy: For safety, golfers should aim for the center or left side of the green to stay clear of the bunker on the right. Club selection should be based on wind direction; a decisive shot to carry the ball over the bunker is the key to seeking a par or birdie.

HOLE 14

Par 4 | Index 6
420
400
350
300

Overview: A challenging par 4 with a gentle dog-leg. The highlight is a massive bunker strip running along the entire right corridor from the tee box up to the green, putting significant pressure on any off-right shots.

Playing strategy: Strictly stay clear of the danger zone on the right. Both the tee shot and the approach to the green should prioritize the left side or center for safety. Attacking a pin located near the right edge is a risky choice, as deep bunkers are always lurking.

HOLE 15

Par 4 | Index 18
360
330
295
230

Overview: Despite having the easiest handicap index, the pressure from lake a along the left corridor is very real. The green is guarded by a massive cluster of white sand bunkers right in front, creating a barrier for low-trajectory shots.

Playing strategy: Aim your tee shot toward the right to completely eliminate the water hazard. On the approach shot, choose "more club" (extra power) to hit a high-lofted shot over the bunkers guarding the front of the green. This is a hole where you can play aggressively to hunt for a birdie.

HOLE 16

Par 3 | Index 10
240
205
140
120

Overview: A long par 3 featuring an expansive bunker system guarding the entire right side of the green, ready to penalize any uncontrolled shots.

Playing strategy: Prioritize aiming for the center or left side of the green to stay clear of the bunkers. With the long distance and sea breezes, using a fairway wood or hybrid is necessary to reach the target safely.

HOLE 17

Par 5 | Index 2
610
600
550
490

Overview a long and challenging par 5 featuring a signature dog-leg left design. the difficulty stems from its massive length and a dense bunker system running along the entire right corridor.

Playing strategy patience is key. golfers should play this as a three-shot hole to reach the green safely rather than taking unnecessary risks. prioritize avoiding the bunkers on the right during the first two shots to create the most favorable angle for the final approach.

HOLE 18

Par 4 | Index 8
430
405
360
315

Overview a long par 4 that gently curves to the left, creating an exciting finish. the challenge lies in the strategic bunker on the right of the fairway and the deep bunkers guarding the left flank of the elongated green.

Playing strategy prioritize a tee shot toward the left side of the fairway to steer clear of the bunkers and open up the approach angle. the approach shot should safely target the center or the right edge of the green to avoid any risk from the bunkers on the left.
